Old Park and Chequers Wood is a hidden gem on the eastern edge of Canterbury. Home to a mosaic of habitats, it is a wonderfully diverse green space enjoyed by an increasing number of residents from across the city.

The site, owned by the Ministry of Defence, is currently up for sale, meaning its biodiversity is at risk from developers.  

Friends of Old Park and Chequers wood are aiming to protect, enhance and promote this unique open space.
