Sunday 9th November

The wreath-laying ceremony on Sunday, held in remembrance of all those who gave their lives, was followed by a moving and well-attended service at Canterbury Cathedral. Rosie noted how powerful the moment always is for the community, bringing people together to reflect and pay their respects.

After the service, local veterans, uniformed services, and cadets took part in the customary march-past—this year blessed with unusually glorious sunshine. The procession drew strong public support, with many turning out to show their appreciation.

Rosie also took the opportunity to catch up with Canterbury City Council councillors, armed forces representatives, and her predecessor, Sir Julian Brazier. It was another reminder of how much the community shares in common as they come together to honour those who served.
