REDUCE VAT ON HOSPITALITY

At Prime Minister’s Questions Last Week, I asked the Prime Minister to address the growing financial pressure on the hospitality sector.

I asked the Prime Minister to consider how the current 20% VAT rate is forcing many hospitality businesses to close, and whether the Government would reduce it to 10%.

Sadly, his answer ignored the question and offered an inadequate response, this is not acceptable❌

I will continue to press the Government to act, because our hospitality sector deserves fairness, clarity, and a path to recovery.

Please support the campaign, VATs the problem, launched by Tom Kerridge. More information can be found here: https://www.change.org/p/lower-vat-to-10-for-the-hospitality-industry

We cannot stand by while an entire industry fights for survival💪
