Canterbury Meningitis Outbreak: House of Commons Statement

  • Mar 17
  • 1 min read

Following today’s statement in the House of Commons on the meningitis outbreak in our constituency:

  • A targeted vaccination programme will soon be underway for students in halls at the University of Kent. This is a very welcome step.

  • If you visited Club Chemistry on 5th, 6th or 7th March, please urgently access emergency antibiotics at one of the four temporary clinics in Canterbury and Thanet. You can find out more information about the clinics and get updates here.

My thoughts are with everyone affected. My office remains in close contact with the UKHSA and the Department of Health. If you need support from my office, you can contact us at enquiries@rosieduffieldmp.co.uk.
